OK, so it's March already! I returned from a busy week of service in Mexico. Our group of 65 did a variety of medical things. We offered clinic services in some outling villages and referrals to th surgical locations we staffed. We also provided pharmacy services and fitted people with reading glasses and hearing aids. We also shared the Good News withthem. If they could read, we offered a Bible or tracts. In the week I attended, tere were 160 first time professions of faith! PTL!! Week 2 is just wrapping up. It will be intersting to see the projct totals. We also began utilizing a new warehouse for all of our medical supplies. A lot of work needs to be done to organize the supplies, but first we have to get shelving units to hold everything. Everything in Mexico takes longer to accomplish and since we aren't close, things have to wait even longer.

Not much else to report from GRaps.

May your Lenten season be one of insight and reflection on the sacrifice made by Our Lord.

Ok, the February update from mom.

Matt is in Mexico on "his" mission trip.  He is in Valladolid with International Medical Assistance.  They do medical and surgical clinics and do surgery....This is a very poor area and they serve many people.  Matt will fill in the facts when he returns. You may ask why I do not go too....since I am a nurse....The answer is that I do not tolerate heat all that well and it is HOT down there--no air either!  It is not a resort!

I am keeping the home fires burning and am grateful to have a warm house.  Many just a bit north of GRap have been without power after the ice storm last week. We got some interesting weather and very cold temps but nothing worse, thankfully.

That is it from 215 Glenhaven.  Pretty tame.

OK... the new year is almost a month old. An update is needed. Unfortunately, not much to report from Glenhaven. We continue to have a "normal" life. Between work and church activities, we do stay busy. We are planning a trip to Chicago so that we can attend CHIC training. (ASk us if you don't know about CHIC).

A couple of other happenings. The youth just completed delivering 13,800 phone books as a fund-raising activity. A lot of work, and a lot of fun. I will also be heading back to Valladolid Mexico in February to be part of a medical mission team. My bags are already packed!

Overall, we continue to be blessed by a gracious God. We pray His blessings on you as well.

New Year's Eve. 2006 just ahead. We here on Glenhaven are taking stock of the many blessings we received from God during 2005 and are looking forward to what He has planned for us in 2006.

We surprised Grandma Meyer for her 80th birthday. 42 of Meyer family and friends gathered last evening to share a meal and celebrate her birthday. It was the first time both sides of our family were together since Grandpa Meyer passed away 15 years ago. There were many great stories, a lot of laughter and more than a few tears shed.

Today was the Bouwman (Mary's family) party. There were 25 children under the age of 13! Thank goodness our church is big. Another rousing success. One thing I (Matt) have come to know - Bouwmans' sing much better than Meyers.

May God bless each and every one this coming year.
